CLAREMONT STADIUM

SPORTS FOR ALL

Our Facilities and Services

Outdoor Sporting Facilities

Our outdoor facilities consist of an 8 lane, 400m Athletics Track and Field Events such as Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Throwing area and we have equipment to facilitate all Track and Field events.

The track is home to Navan AC however many Athletic Clubs utilise our facilities for winter training, speed training etc as well as other local club such as football and rugby. Running groups train here and running fundraisers are welcome.

There is a full-size soccer pitch which is kept and maintained by Parkvilla FC for their senior league.

We have an outdoor activity park which caters for those who are new to exercise or have an injury or disability.

We recognise the importance of physical activity for all and have developed strong links in the county. For many groups, such as Special Olympics, Navan Badminton Club, Parkvilla Belles, Youthreach, MIDWAY, Athletic Clubs etc, this is their home base. They have no alternative for training and their activities would cease if Claremont Stadium was no longer available to them.

"Rathkenny AC's biggest turnout in numbers at training is for the Claremont sessions and it is extremely popular with both our younger and older members alike. To quote one of our members when attending one of our sessions ‘It makes us feel like real athletes."

"St Anne’s Loreto Primary School is located in the town centre of Navan and has no green areas for the school. The school uses Claremont Stadium for its annual sports day as it accommodates the numerous sports day activities for all our age groups."

Indoor Multi-Sports Hall

Our Multi-activity sports hall is full size and the largest in the County and is lined for Badminton (4 courts), Indoor Soccer, Basketball and Olympic handball.

Navan Badminton train and compete in our hall Mondays and Wednesdays during Sept to April.

The hall is not only Multi-sports but also ideal for a variety of activities and sports, such as school hall athletics, volleybal, dance classes, drama groups and social occasions such as birthday parties, celebrations or fundraisers.

"Training indoors during inclement weather is a major factor in encouraging parents to bring their children to our soccer club to participate in team sport where they often make friends for life, as well as keeping fit and healthy." (Parkvilla Belles)

"Without training in Claremont Stadium the Navan Special Olympic Club doubts that their athletes would have made it to the National Games held in Limerick June '14."
